Johnson Update

Well its been a while since i have wrote on this thing. We have had some changes in our lives these past few months.
We announced that we were expecting another child to our families and friends. Baby #2 will be making an appearance hopefully in March 2011. Although I wont complain if it decides to come in February; especially if this baby will be as big as our son was when he was born.
In September we welcomed my brother in-law into our home. He is working with my husband and spends most evenings on his computer. My son loves having another person in the house to play with and talk too. I love having someone else to entertain my busy boy.
Yesterday we had our 2nd trimester ultrasound. I always love being able to see the tiny person growing in my tummy. We had decided to find out the gender of this little person. And are excited to be having another little boy in our family. I am really looking forward to digging out all those adorable boy clothes that my son outgrew way too quickly.
Well these are the biggest changes in our household these past few months. Life is going to be a bit different next week as we are headed to the Edmonton area for a week. I will be spending it with my family as my husband is headed to Calgary for a course that he needs for work. My son is going to be spoiled at his grandparents and I am looking forward to the extra help.
Here are a few pictures of our growing family.

July News

Well its officially summer. Kids are screaming, grass needs mowing, and my craving for a Slurpee is stronger than ever. So far our summer has been pretty normal. Caleb works 5-6 days a week, Andrew plays, sleeps and is always getting into some kind of trouble and I take care of Andrew, take care of the house, and when given some quiet time work on my craft projects. I have managed to finish a queen size quilt for my brothers 21 birthday in September and have started working on a cross stitch project.

Andrew's new favorite past time is swimming in his pool. So I need to make sure the patio door is locked when i don't want him going out in his cloth diapers. He has on more than one occasion found his way outside to play in the water without supervision. He loves to keep me guessing on what he will get into next. This morning he decided to throw his stuffed toys into the toilet. Oh but how I love that adorable little boy.

In this last week we have decided to take some holidays and go down the Johnson farm and help Caleb's dad with haying. So next week we will be packing up the car and headed to the farm. Before then i have laundry to do, a house to clean, and three people belonging to pack up. Packing for a 14 month old gets trickier the longer the trip. Toys, clothes, extra clothes, diapers and everything else a hyperactive little boy needs to enjoy a week at his grandparents. But oh how excited Caleb is to be going back to his childhood home to see his parents. Of course he will be put to work the minute the hay dries enough to mow. I am just excited about getting away from everyday life and enjoying some time with family.

Well baby is sleeping so I should be going to get somethings done before my attention is needed elsewhere.

May Adventures

This past month has been full of busy weekends and crazy weather. The beginning of the month was spent decorating our bedroom. Here are some pictures.

After:

The middle of the month was planning Andrews 1st birthday party. We had about a dozen friends and family over for a bbq. It was a gorgeous day. Kids loved playing in the pool and the men had a Wii competition. Overall it was an amazing day.

May long weekend was of course miserable. It started raining on Thursday and turned into snow by Saturday. We spent the weekend huddled inside watching the rain and staying warm. Andrew and I spent most of the weekend playing inside alone because Caleb was very busy drying out peoples basements from the rain.

Andrew continues to grow and get into trouble. He is starting to stand on his own for brief moments but it probably won't be long before he is walking. He likes going outside and playing his new pool. A birthday present from uncle Jeremy. Andrew got a wagon from grandma and grandpa so we have also started taking family walks around the block when it is nice outside.
Well that was our past couple weeks.

Decorating Our Bedroom

For the past couple days, we have been working on decorating our master bedroom. We wanted to put up some paintable wallpaper and then paint the room a shade of green. As of this morning our project is not going so well. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a piece of wallpaper landing on my head. It seems that the wallpaper we chose has decided not to stay on the wall.
We need to decide whether to go another route or continue trying to get the paper to stay on the wall. I personally vote to go a different route and just paint the bedroom. Seems less stressful to me then the other option. Just need to convince Caleb of that decision.
Other news in our family, I am busy planning my sons birthday party this weekend. We have the present, the paper plates and cups, napkins, drinks. All we need to get is the food which some friends have volunteered to bring. It is going to be a pleasant evening celebrating Andrews birthday. I am quite excited about the coming weekend.

Todays Adventure

Since his first day of life my son has been keeping me on my toes. And today was no exception. He has mastered pulling himself up on things and pulling everything on the surface onto the floor.
Today he discovered toilet paper and how much fun it is to pull off the roll and rip into shreds. I should of known that silence from him is a very BAD thing. Here is what I discovered.

Oh the joys of having a very mischievous son.

In the last 3 years.

Its been a while since I have written on this blog. I guess its time for an update on my life. The last time i wrote I was busy planning a wedding and looking forward to what the future might hold. So what has happened in the last 3 years you might ask? Well here are some of the highlights.
-Well first off I married the man of my dreams in December of 2007. We went to canmore for a very nice honeymoon in the mountains.
-We moved to sexsmith into a tiny two bedroom basement. It was pretty good for a first home. Got to live downstairs from a couple we knew from bible school. I enjoyed having another newlywed to talk with.
-In September of 2008 we discovered that we were going to become parents in may of 2009. Caleb and I were very excited and spent the next nine months planning and dreaming about this new little person.
-May 2009 We welcomed a beautiful and big baby boy into our little family. Coming in at 9 pounds 7oz 21 inches long. Andrew James came into this world causing trouble and has been keeping us on our toes ever since.
-October 2009 Caleb and I made a huge purchase by buying a mobile home in Grande Prairie. Its a very nice 3 bedroom trailer with a big kitchen while i enjoy a great deal. One of my favorite parts of having a new home was being able to do my laundry whenever i wanted.
-December 2009. Caleb and i celebrated our 2nd anniversary and Andrews first Christmas.
-Present Date: I am currently planning my sons first birthday party. Its hard to believe how fast time has flown by.Life is kept busy with keeping Andrew out of trouble and keeping house.Alone time has become very scarce and treasured when it does come around. We are looking forward to the summer and being able to spend more time outside.
Well that is an update on my life the past few years.Stay tuned for future Johnson Adventures.
