Christmas Letter 2010

Another year is quickly coming to an end which means it’s time to update everyone on the happenings of our family. So here is what has been going on in our little family.

  • In February Caleb and I were able to get away for the first time by ourselves. We enjoyed a weekend at a fancy lodge in Jasper, courtesy of Caleb’s work. Andrew spent the weekend playing with his grandparents.
  • In May we celebrated Andrews 1st birthday. It was a busy fun day full of family and friends. Andrew spent most of the day in the swimming pool with all of his little buddies. Another big event in May was Andrew’s first steps. Since he has learnt to walk he has not stopped moving, and neither has all of our stuff.
  • In June we found out that we were expecting our second miracle. I have been much more sick this time around and finding this pregnancy a lot more tiring with a busy toddler to chase around all day. In October we got the exciting news that we are having another baby boy. He has been a very busy boy, kicking and moving around a lot already. We are expecting his arrival the first week in March 2011.
  • In August Caleb took a week off of work and we packed up and headed for the Johnson farm. We spent a week there helping with the harvest. Andrew loved having all the space to run around and getting time with his Johnson grandparents. We also traded in our blue ford focus for a larger brand new white dodge caravan. We were finding that our focus just didn’t have enough room for us, and with the new baby coming more travel room is definitely needed. I think we could fit the focus and our family in our new van.
  • September was full of exciting events. Caleb and I both celebrated our 24th birthdays. A couple weeks later Caleb’s younger brother Charles moved into our guest room and started working with Caleb at On Side. Andrew loves having another person around to play with. September has also welcomed a promotion for Caleb. He is now in the position of Water Lead. So far the new position seems to be going alright.
  • So far in December Caleb and I have celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and are busy getting ready for the holidays. We are entering Caleb’s busiest season, so he works late most nights. My (Susie) family will be joining us for Christmas weekend, so I am looking forward to hosting Christmas in our home and all the cooking that comes along with it.

So these are just some of the bigger events that happened this past year. We are looking forward to the New Year and all the big changes that come along with it.

Good to hear the update! Hope pregnancy becomes a bit more comfortable soon...though that's not usually the progression this close to due date, eh?
